Maybe you are getting a jump on your goal-setting for 2019. Or perhaps, you just reviewed the budget with your boss, and training dollars have been reduced – again. Or, there are some areas where you would like to fine-tune your skills, but you don’t necessarily want the entire office to know. Whatever the reason, you are looking for some solid course offerings.

A colleague recently made me aware of a posting that lists 75 online courses for freelancers. My first thought was, “Great, but I am not sure that my project management community is made up of freelancers.” While I looked at the list I realized that:

  • I do not know if you are a freelancer
  • In today’s world, even if you have a corporate gig, you might do some work on the side
  • And, you must take ownership of your professional development training

Which led me to pass this information on to you, if you are so inclined, you can take a look and decide if there is something of interest to you, something that will boost your skills.

Spoiler alert, there is a course that I created with UC Irvine and Coursera on the list. It is called Work Smarter, Not Harder. This is NOT me trying to sell you that or any other course on the list. This is NOT a situation where I earn any commission.  I will not know if you take any class unless you choose to tell me. After looking at the list, I realized that while there are many useful courses for freelancers, there are also many valuable courses for ALL of us.

These are just some of the many…Oh right, it is called Top 75 Online Courses for Freelancers To Up Their Game; these are some of the 75 courses listed. And it is very convenient to have a list of these courses on one page.

Some of the courses are free or have a free trial offer, followed by different pricing structures. I do not know your budget, but many of the classes seem to be affordable, and a good value for your money.

Now, which one should I take?
