iPhone/iPod Touch Apps – PMP sample questions
I spent some time reviewing 3 iPhone applications and put together this video review for you. These are all sample test applications for the PMP exam. I took many screen shots from my iPod Touch to show you what these apps look like. Even if you don’t have an iPhone or iPod Touch this may give you some ideas about what to look for in general when searching for sample test questions.

Josh:
This is a really thoughtful review, and we genuinely appreciate being included. As a PMP who was certified in 2005 (which may explain some of the v3/v4 items) and wrote much of the material myself, it’s nice to hear the explanations were good.
We’ll work on updating it and improving it based on your valuable thoughts.
All the best,
TC

Hi Josh,
Great review.. very fair and extremely thorough.
This will also give us some ideas on how to improve our 4 existing PMP apps for iPhone and iPod Touch, since we are planning for new improved revisions soon.
I also hope you’ll get a chance to review our “PM Process” app soon. We believe that one is quite unique and useful in the PMP arena.
Thanks & keep up the good work !
Mike

Hi Josh,
I’m glad you liked the content of our “Project Management Processes” application for iPhone/iPod Touch/Blackberry.
Good timing because we just launched a similar web site called “Project Management Processes”. Check it out at:
http://www.pm-process.com
This should be a good reference for learning (or using) the processes outlined in the PMBOK 4th Edition.
Feel free to spread the word !
Cheers,
Mike

Gbenga, it sounds to me like you may not meet the requirements for the PMP exam yet. You need 3-5 years of experience “leading and directing project activities” and as an individual contributor for
5 years you probably don’t have that yet.
The CAPM, IPMA-D or similar knowledge-based exam may better for
you now.
Second, I won’t assure anyone that they will ’sail’ through the exam. I provide coaching and resources, not guarantees.

One suggestion I’d like to add for all PMP app developers….the ability to email yourself a full post-mortem would be great. If it was formatted as a PDF for ease of printing, even better.
The report would include a summary of what areas they need to go study more, the full question & answer choices, indicate which was chosen and if it was correct or not, and provide any explanations or references.
I would even split the report into one file with all the questions that were incorrect and a separate file with all questions. Then people can just print out the incorrect file and go study further on the areas they need more work on.
