<blockquote>"..try to excel rather than just turn up...'be more useful' rather than to hit the local KPIs....started delving into product manuals and investigating business processes in our downtimes...started to pester management with ideas of how to do things better....constructive manner...we started to get other small project jobs and a combination of our motivation, attitude and skills led us all into project roles."</blockquote>

Take heed everyone, see how really putting forth the effort like this pays off in the end. The best director I ever had gave me some advice once... "Josh, you need to do parts or all of a role for an extended period of time before you've earned the right to take it on."
