Use the WBS as the Product Breakdown Down Structure and the Processes needed to produce the work.
Use other fields in project or Excel for EVERY other attribute. Then use a pivot table to show any of these relationships
Only in this way can you maintain the referential integrity of the WBS by tracing the deliverables, their components, and subcomponents to all the other contributors – people, phase, release, etc.
