One of the things I love about this time of year is that we are made more aware of how important it is to help others. In my tradition it’s Christmas and of course your tradition may be different, but it seems there is a lot of good cheer around this time of year everywhere. It’s a great time of year to be thankful for what we have, and give what we can to help others.
You may already know that pmStudent gives to specific causes on a scheduled monthly basis. Especially during this time of year though I usually find out about one or more fund-raising events for good causes.
I want to tell you about one I just donated to, and give you the opportunity to do the same if you find it worthwhile.
My niece sent me an email about an event she is participating in, the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Math-a-Thon. It’s a great program where children who participate get some great math-related educational materials and other prizes, while raising money to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital find new treatments for cancer, sickle cell disease and other catastrophic childhood diseases.
I just got the email this morning and donated the first $25. Her goal is $500 by December 13th, so let’s get her there!
Support Bellana’s St. Jude Math-a-Thon
If you have other causes you donate to, I completely understand. If you don’t, consider this one or follow the advice on my giving page about how to find organizations who do good work AND are fiscally responsible with your donations.
Now for some entertainment
Now enjoy watching me make a fool out of myself! (Hey, a project management blog doesn’t have to be serious all the time!)

Josh, nice moves! Seeing that my tradition is also Christmas–and Christmas is the National Holiday we’re celebrating–I will wish all of my fellow PM’ers a very Merry Christmas. May your days be merry, bright and blessed.

I know the disco-dancer’s meant to be a Christmas Elf, but, bejabbers, he looks like one o’the little folk here in Ireland – a leprechaun and no joke!
