I absolutely LOVE it when candidates do that when I'm conducting interviews. The flip side is when you ASK for a specific story and they keep coming up with generic stuff. Very frustrating. I used to give them second chances and try to coach them to it and sometimes it would be 3-4 chances before I'd give up. I don't prompt any more aside from the initial question.
